I was born in Miami and have lived here for more than 36 years.  I graduated from the University of Miami in 1996 achieving degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science.  In 2000 I graduated from the University of Miami School of Law.  I have been a member of the Florida Bar since Sepember of 2000 and have been practicing law since that time. 

 

     Upon being accepted into the Florida bar I went to work as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County.  I was there for more than 5 years.  While in that position I gained a vast amount of experience practicing Criminal Law including Juvenile Delinquency, DUI, Misdemeanor and Felony cases. I was there from October 2000 through March 2006. 

 

     In June of 2006 The Law Offices of Scott Pettus, PA was established providing First Class legal advice and representation to South Florida.  We represent clients on all types of Criminal and Traffic matters.
